This publication introduces the concept of consumption in a clear and engaging way, encouraging readers to consider not just what they spend, but what they put into their bodies each day.

As a CSM student often relying on ready meals, I began questioning their effects on health. Frequent encounters with empty shelves at Waitrose heightened my awareness of students’ eating habits and led me to explore the issue of ultra-processed foods — something many of us consume unconsciously.

To make this topic more personal, the book includes interactive features that invite readers to analyse their own receipts and reflect on what they have truly consumed.
